PRE-OPERATIVE

So as not to discover additional difficulties during the surgery, it is important that you follow the following instructions and consult us if you have any doubts.

  • Avoid smoking during the 15 days prior to the intervention and if you cannot manage this, decrease to a maximum of 2 – 3 cigarettes per day.
  • Remember that it is important you let us know about any medications you are taking..
  • It is strictly forbidden to take aspirin or any medications containing acetylsalicylic acid for at least a week before as it can interfere with blood clotting. If you are being treated with an anticoagulant, let us know (Sintrom, Adiro, Disgren…)
  • Wear comfortable clothing. If you wish, you can bring another shirt or top to change into as the sterile drapes are not breathable and you may sweat.
  • Do not eat any solid foods an hour and a half to two hours before. Your last meal must be light.
  • If you wear contact lenses, it is best not to wear them during the procedure.
  • De not wear makeup.
  • Three or four days before and on the day of the procedure, we recommend you moisturise your face and lips to prevent them cracking.
  • If you are diabetic, you must inform us of this and monitor your medications especially well.
  • If you suffer any type of allergy, do not hesitate to let us know.
  • Notify us of any change in your health.
  • Remember, if you have any doubts, we are always here to help.
